mio, the Estate Agents sales progression platform, has released a new chain view API
mio, the Estate Agents sales progression platform, has released a new chain view API. The next in a series of sophisticated APIs to make self-service integration with the platform quick and easy.
Instead of relying on connected parties manually adding information, the new API offers a modern method of data exchange. By bringing multiple data feeds together to automate a shared view of the complete chain, including the acting estate agent and conveyancer, as well as details for the vendor and buyer for each property without compromising data privacy. Milestones from both sides of the transaction also display the progress of the connected properties. Thus, the point of any delays can be easily identified.
Designed by mio’s parent company, tmgroup, the new chain view API supports property professionals across the chain. This includes conveyancers, mortgage advisors, surveyors and panel managers, who can all benefit from clearer interpretation on the progress of a chain. Therefore reducing the need for unnecessary calls chasing for updates.
Proactive information sharing
Commenting on the launch of the new chain view API, Peter Ambrose, Director of The Partnership said:
“We have always been very proactive about sharing the information we have with estate agents through our agent portal. For too long we’ve felt like a “lone voice” in the property market. We’re excited to be one of the first to have a shared view of sales progression activity across all of our chains, not only so estate agents have a better idea of what’s going on, but also so our conveyancers can benefit from increased visibility and a better understanding where any hold ups are. Sharing this data is a mutual win for all involved.”
Jon Horton, mio Product Director, also said:
“The new chain view API will continue to build on the growing number of data feeds that plugin to mio chains, which currently enable 1 in 3 properties to benefit from at least one automated milestone update. By exception, some estate agent branches benefit from close to 60% of milestones being fed from automated updates.”
Available via integration to any third-party platform, in exchange for data that updates a mio chain, the new API chain view is now available to all parties involved in a residential property transaction improving transparency, certainty and reducing time spent on sales progression.
